Prerequisites for this Activity |
1. The range facility requires a signed liability waiver before Scouts may shoot firearms at the range. Waiver forms will be emailed approximately 2 weeks prior to the Merit Badge Camporee. Completed waiver forms will be collected during the Friday evening classroom session. Scout needs to provide the signed waiver to instructors prior to the Saturday range session.
2. Per guidelines in the BSA National Shooting Sports Manual, instructor will register Scout's name ONLY on NRA class roster. Participation in the merit badge class allows the Scout to be credited with completion of the NRA FIRST Steps Rifle Course.
3. Scouts desiring to use their own equipment MUST make arrangements with instructor and unit leader in advance. |
